The building, not to scale: one level from the parking lot to the stage.

The facility at 5725 South University Drive has served families since 1999. Sacred Farewells rents it as a memorial hall: a 300-seat sanctuary with a stage, a reception space for the meal, a serving kitchen and a foyer to greet guests. It is a gathering venue and not a funeral home; nothing related to the care of the deceased happens here.

The building is ground level with no steps anywhere between the parking lot and the stage. Restrooms are on the same level. Plenty of parking sits behind the building, reached through the breezeway, with more in front.

The photographs below were taken in the building as it is today. Nothing in them is staged for the camera beyond the chairs being set in rows, which is how the room waits for every family.

Included in Every Rental

The room, the sound, the screen, the tables and the staff come with every package.

  • Sound and projection
  • Tables and chairs
  • Setup and breakdown by staff

Each of the three packages includes the sanctuary with climate control, a professional sound system with microphones, projection for slideshows and videos, the podium and stage, tables and chairs for the reception area, and setup and breakdown by staff. Basic Celebration starts the rental window 30 minutes before the service; Enhanced and Legacy give four hours of setup time.

The rental window: from walking in to leaving. Staff cleanup is not counted.

Basic Celebration and Enhanced Celebration include three hours in the facility, from the family's arrival to departure. Legacy Tribute includes four. Extra hours are $200 each and are agreed before the day, so a family that wants a longer afternoon never watches the clock. Staff cleanup after the family leaves is not counted against the window.
